Suprax Oral Suspension is indicated to treat many different types of bacterial infections. This medicine belongs to the class of cephalosporin antibiotics.
This medicine is available in the form of oral suspension which is comfortable for use in people who cannot take pills and in children.
It is recommended for adult patients to use the dose of 400 mg each day of treatment. Suprax as a single 400 mg dose can be used for the treatment of uncomplicated cervical/urethral gonococcal infections.
For children it is recommended to use 8 mg/kg of the oral suspension each day of the treatment. Doctors usually advise to take the daily dose in two divided parts every 12 hours.
Suprax oral suspension can cause some side effects including stomach problems such as diarrhea, nausea, pain in the stomach and others.
