The third generation cephalosporin Suprax antibiotic is used to treat a variety of infectious diseases caused by bacteria.
Suprax for the treatment of respiratory tract infections

The medication is used to treat:

  • Acute bronchitis (caused by Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus influenza, Moraxella catarrhalis.
  • Chronic bronchitis in the acute stage of the disease.
  • Mild to moderate community-acquired pneumonia.
  • Mild to moderate sinusitis.
  • Uncomplicated UTIs caused by Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Citrobacter spp, C. diversus, C. freundii, Enterobacter spp., Morganella morganii and other susceptible bacteria.
  • Uncomplicated UTIs caused by susceptible gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus spp.
  • Pyelonephritis and other complicated UTIs caused by susceptible Enterobacteriaceae such as E. coli.

Suprax for the treatment of acute Otitis Media (AOM), Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis.

  • Uncomplicated urethral, rectal or endocervical infectious diseases provoked by Neisseria gonorrhea.
